My aim here at Unity is to improve the quality of life for others. Whether that’s relieving tension and pain or helping promote better health and energy. Checking in with your body and seeking massage and bodywork therapies is an essential part of keeping your body in balance. You’ll notice the benefits every day with an overall improved sense of well-being.

I have a holistic approach to helping my clients achieve the best results possible. The key is working together to try and identify the cause of the issue so that this can be addressed along with the resulting symptoms being experienced. This can often include simple exercises and stretches for you to do at home to help strengthen and support the problem areas.

I'm also happy to liaise with your Physiotherapist, GP, Osteopath, or other health service providers to ensure a safe and effective return to health and strength.

Along with the work I do to help you relieve muscular tension, pain and headaches, boost your energy levels, detoxify the body, promote healthy healing from injuries and restore balance throughout the body and mind, I’ve created a range of beautifully handcrafted essential oil blends to help clients achieve further relief and relaxation at home. Find the perfect Unity Blend for you!

About me

My journey with health and wellbeing began with investing in myself. Achieving my goal weight at the age of 35 was life-changing, it gave me the confidence to reach for further goals and allowed me to dream. Once I’d pushed through one of the hardest challenges of my life, I was inspired to take it further and help others achieve their own fitness goals.

In 2007-2008 I undertook a Diploma in Personal Training and Exercise Prescription at the Otago Institute of Sport and Adventure. My favourite areas were postural analysis/correction and injury recovery work. I apply my personal training knowledge and skills every day working with my massage therapy clients and often send them home with “homework” following a session.

In the following years, my passion grew. I wanted to seek out other areas in health and well-being which would allow me to help my clients further. In 2010 and 2011 I continued to study massage therapies and Bodywork. Followed by Reflexology studies and completing my diploma in 2013.

In January 2014 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which slowed me down for quite some time, and following surgery and treatment throughout that year I went through early menopause.  Since then it has been a constant struggle to maintain the healthy weight I worked so hard in the past to achieve. My energy system doesn't work the same way it used to, so the activities that once energised me now flatten my battery.  I'm finding new, gentler ways to exercise and keep my body strong and love sharing this experience with others who have the same difficulties.

In 2018 and 2019, I studied Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapy, which has become a passion of mine and just this year have achieved my Reiki Master Practitioner level.

For me, these qualifications mean I can provide an all-around service of well-being to my clients and believe they are why I get the results I do! Read through my full list of qualifications here
